The San Jose Mercury News just broke the news.

Tom Campbell -- who is the front-runner in the Republican race to take on Sen. Barbara Boxer -- is pledging to repeal health care reform if he's elected to the Senate this November.

Campbell is not alone. Carly Fiorina and Chuck DeVore, running against Campbell in the Republican primary, are also calling for repeal.

And Steve Poizner, a Republican who wants to be Governor of California, is even calling the bill unconstitutional and wants the state to sue the federal government to block the reforms from taking effect.

We have to stop the right-wing from rolling back health care reform in California and across the country. That's why we need your help right now. To launch Phase II of our health care reform campaign in California, we need just 500 people to invest $25 -- or whatever you can afford -- ASAP:

The health care bill offers several immediate benefits to Americans within the first year that Republicans like Tom Campbell and Steve Poizner desperately want to deny you, including:

· Ensuring you don't lose coverage when you get sick

· Ending denial of coverage to children with pre-existing conditions

· Providing access to insurance for adults with pre-existing conditions

· Allowing young adults to stay on their parents' plans until age 26

· Starting to close the Medicare "donut hole"

The bill also includes a waiver that will eventually allow states to use federal funds to create their own single-payer system.

The health care reform bill is incomplete. We need effective regulation of insurance rate increases. We must reverse the attack on abortion rights. And we ultimately need to take the insurers out of the equation entirely by creating a single-payer system that guarantees affordable health care to everyone.

We can't do that if we let the right-wing turn this victory into defeat. That's why we need to stop right-wingers like Campbell and Poizner who want to repeal health care reform. We just need 500 people to give $25 -- or whatever you can afford -- to launch Phase II of our California campaign for health care reform:
