Cavendish wins first stage of Amgen Tour of California

I drove down to midtown, parked at Capitol and 24th, walked down the race route... a grand day out. The race is a real thrill...








I ended up hanging with some old guys with expensive cameras there by the guy with the orange shirt... they gave me some good ideas.

Mark Cavendish of HTC-Columbia won the first stage of the Amgen Tour of California in a finishing sprint after 104.3 miles of racing from Nevada City to Sacramento.
