Urban Legend's has posted a debunking of World Net Daily's claim that the president's wedding ring bears the Arabic inscription, "There is no god but Allah." From their "Hoaxes & Legends" page: "Contrary to what has been claimed in various online sources, President Obama's gold wedding ring does not feature the Muslim saying 'No God but Allah' in Arabic script. It bears no visible inscription at all, only an abstract design." Today World Net Daily again posted their claim, this time with the complain that the mainstream media is ignoring this "obvious evidence" that the president is secretly Muslim.

Joe usually posts Nate Silver's electoral college forecasts on Fridays, but today he notes a surge for Mitt Romney.
Mitt Romney gained further ground in the FiveThirtyEight forecast on Monday, with his chances of winning the Electoral College increasing to 25.2 percent from 21.6 percent on Sunday. The change represents a continuation of the recent trend: Mr. Romney’s chances were down to just 13.9 percent immediately in advance of last week’s debate in Denver. He has nearly doubled his chances since then.
