Thoughts...

Three images that keep me calm

There is a buddy of mine from high school days who has posted on social media a message about a serious health issue and upcoming surgery of his. He began with a pic, of his favorite place on the Rogue River in Oregon. He uses it to focus on to keep calm, and he got me thinking. So, I said to myself, “Self, let's send out a message, and copy it to the blog ‘On Being Notorious...’ where I have been putting all the riveting news relating to the upcoming Senhor Próstata’s (coitado) untimely demise."

But what pictures? It was impossible to choose just one. So I chose three... I had to... because thinking of my O's in Denmark, Mt. Shasta and The Redwoods... sustain me, and now more than ever keep the noise outta my head.

The time has come to start the 7-day regime of antibiotics, so now it seems, indeed feels, like it is finally happening. And so, like anything that is huge in one’s life, I am feeling like things at work are less and less interesting. Maybe my mental software is preparing me to go through all this and to give Senhor Próstata one last obrigado (thank you) for almost 68 years of tireless service!

The good news is...the doc doesn't have to drill up into in places that we won't mention here, but will go in through a little (we hope little, though some say it leaves a little smile) hole below the belly button. I am confident in the skills of my surgeons and the good people at “Hospital da Baleia” in BH to accomplish all of this.

So, I hope you can keep a good thought or two for me, and to Milton (who has to take on a lot of stuff for a few weeks), the surgeons, our drivers both to and from, the nurses, and back to all of you good folks wishing me good energy and love.

Gratidão Senhor Próstata!

Life is good!
