For most families with school-age children, the dust has settled--the pencil dust, that is! Summer is over and school is in. This time of year is exciting for our families, but it's also a time when we pay special attention to our families' needs in schools.That's why Family Equality Council is thrilled to announce new and updated resources for YOUR family as you work to ensure that your children have the best possible experiences in school. New Resources ::

Banned Book Nook
For the past few years, books with LGBT family themes have topped the American Library Association's annual list of most challenged books in the country. Check out our new, easy-to-use online tool to report these challenges to Family Equality Council and the American Library Association so we can ensure that literature reflecting all families can be found in schools and libraries nationwide! (Banned Books Week is September 27-October 4, 2008)

Rainbow Report Card :: Early Learners
The Rainbow Report Card is our online, interactive tool that generates custom recommendations for YOUR family's situation in schools. Used by over 500 parents in the last year, the Rainbow Report Card recently expanded to include an Early Learners edition with questions tailored to the needs of pre-K and Kindergarten-aged kids.
